The Laying on of Hands - Supernatural Sunday

The teaching on the laying on of hands to minister is one of the foundational, elementary principles of Jesus Christ. Our hands are normal, mortal hands. Nothing special. But when we lay holy hands, with a heart full of faith to minister to people - God does wonderful things! God is still working in this manner and we must practice this with boldness, confidence and expectation, as we minster to one another. God can also work through the "indirect touch". The apostle Paul laid hands on cloth and people received healing and deliverance when these cloths were laid on people. So today people can lay hands over a video stream, or over a text message, or over a picture of another person, etc. to minister to them. As God works through the laying on of our hands and does wonderful things, we must ensure that people don’t get the wrong impression that there is something “special” about our hands or about us. We must instruct people keep their focus on God and His Word rather than us becoming the “center of attraction”.
