Prayer of Submission and Surrender - Following Jesus in Prayer (Part-6)

In Part-6 of this sermon series, in “Prayer of Submission and Surrender” we draw several insights from the life of Jesus as He prayed before going to the Cross. In praying even when we find it difficult to follow God in obedience.
Focus on the purpose of God.
Focus on God being glorified.
Focus on the outcome of your obedience.

In praying the prayer of submission and surrender:
In our time of greatest trial, we must pray. This is how we can draw strength from God to do His will.
Doing God's will and walking in obedience to Him will not always be easy for us. Emotionally and other ways we may be challenged.
In our time of greatest trial, invite others to pray with us.
Through prayer we journey into a place of complete submission and surrender.
Through prayer we overcome the temptation of disobedience.
Sometimes, we may have to pray alone, especially in the last mile, the extra mile, the crucial mile, to make the journey of complete submission and surrender.
The work of submission and surrender that is completed in prayer must be followed through with walking in obedience.
