Promises For Financial Provision - Not Lack Any Good Thing (Daily Devotional)

Greetings and thank you for joining us today on our daily devotional. It's always a joy to come to you and spend these few moments in God's word and prayer. This week, we are reflecting on scriptures that promise us God's provision, that guarantee or assure us of God's provision in our lives. I want to look at two passages of scripture today. Psalm chapter 34, verses 9 and 10, it says, "Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.’ Another verse of scripture, Psalm chapter 37, verse 25, the psalmist says, "I have been young, and now I'm old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.” God is faithful to provide for us and the psalmist says here, there is no want to those who fear Him, that's the assurance. You take a hold of that promise and say, God, I am a person who fears you and your word says, there is no lack, there is no want to those who fear the Lord. The psalmist in fact said, even the young lions may lack and suffer hunger. So, think about this, this big lioness, so powerful that is ready to take care of its young lion cubs, make sure that it'll catch the prey and feed its own cubs. But it says look, even earthly creatures could fail in taking care of their own but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing. So, declare that over your own life. Take a hold of these scriptures for yourself and say God, your word says those who fear you will not lack. There is no want to those who fear you and those who seek you will not lack any good thing. So, Father, I thank you that I will not be in want and I will not be in lack of any good thing because that's what your word says. The psalmist makes this declaration, he says, I've been young, I'm now old and I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor his children begging bread. God will take care of you and your family. That's His promise and guarantee. Take a hold of that and say, "God, that's what I want to see fulfilled in my life and God will do it because He watches over His word to perform it."

Let's pray, Father, we thank you for what your word says that there is no want to those who fear you, that those who fear you will not lack any good thing. And so, Father, we thank you that you watch over your word to establish it in our lives, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
