It is a unhealthy focus on one's own needs, pleasure, or well-being, without concern for others. The opposite of selfishness is generosity and selflessness. When Jesus touches us, He makes us want to care for others, be concerned about their needs and even to put others first. As children we can overcome selfishness and let generosity and selflessness be expressed through us. This is what makes us truly super kids - kids who overcome! World changers!
