Greetings and thank you so much for being with us through the course of this week, where we've taken time to reflect on a few scriptures that teach us about our life in Christ. Like we mentioned during the course of this week, there are over 130 scriptures in the New Testament that speak to the believer about who we are, what we have and what we can do in Christ. We've only picked a few of these scriptures, so there is a lot more. We're going to close this week by looking at Colossians chapter 2, verses 6 and 7, the apostle Paul says here, "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving." Paul is saying, you've started your life in Christ, you received Jesus into your life, you've begun your life in Christ, wonderful, but now do something. Walk in Him, be rooted in Him and be built up in Him. In other words, this life that we have in Christ is something that we live out of and we continually grow in day upon day. We are walking in Him, rooted in Him, we are being built up in Him. Let's just focus on one part of this. He says, "Walk in him." Now the Bible word ‘walk’ is not really talking about just going for a walk but it's talking about living out of this place that we have in Christ. To walk means to live, everything you do, the way you conduct yourself, the way you live your life. So, we can restate that as live your daily life from your place in Christ, walk in Him, live out of this union that you have in Jesus. How do we do this? Well, first and very important is we need to start thinking like this now. Change our mindset, begin to think about who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ. So, you and I take on, embrace our new identity and say this is who I really am. My life in Christ, who I am in Christ, that's who I really am. So, you start thinking from that perspective. When you face a challenge, you're not facing it as okay, this is who I am in the natural but who am I in Christ? I'm going to face this circumstance, out of my life in Christ. Second, we speak out of that. We are from God and we speak as from God. So, you begin to say, "This is who I am in Christ, this is what I can do, this is what God does through me, this is the blessings that I've been blessed with." So, you begin to speak aligned to that, you pray aligned to that and you act aligned to your life in Christ. You expect that what God has said He has for you in Christ is what you're going to walk in in your day-to-day life's experience. So, we think, we speak, we act and we expect and align to our life in Jesus and what God has given to us in Christ. Live out of your life that you have in Christ, that's what God wants us to do. Let's pray, Father, we thank you that you've made us new people in Christ, new creation in Christ. We thank you that you've blessed us with every blessing in Christ, you've qualified us to partake of every inheritance. May God teach us how to walk and live out of the life that we have in Christ each and every day, we thank you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
