Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

We Love Him (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you for journeying with me through this week and giving me the opportunity to journey with you through this week. As we get ready to close out a year and prepare to step in to a brand-new year, we’ve been talking about the love that God has for us this week. I want to bring our attention to the fact that the scriptures tell us that we reciprocate love to God because He so loves us. 1 John chapter 4, verse 19, a very simple statement, the apostle John wrote, ‘We love Him because He first loved us.’ Think about this, what inspires love? What causes love to overflow from our hearts towards God? John says we love Him because He first loved us. The more we ponder and reflect and think about the love that God has for us, it causes this spontaneous outpouring of love from our hearts toward Him, that we begin to love Him even more and more because we understand, because we recognize, because we begin to fathom the love that He has for us. The more we are loved, the more we love back God in return. May our journey of faith be this journey of love where as we grow in our understanding and experience of the love that God has for us, that we will just overflow in our love for Him, that we will love Him more and more, that we will be drawn closer and closer to Him. This is all that God wants from us. When the Lord Jesus was questioned, what is the greatest commandment? He replied saying, this is the greatest commandment, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, with all your strength. Obviously, some of us would say, how can I bring myself to that place where I love God with such intensity, to such a decree, that I love God with such a depth, and a passion, where I can say all of me? Well, one of the things that leads us into this place of loving God so much is when we understand how much He first loved us. When we are able to have our eyes open to see the love that God has already given to us in the person of Jesus Christ and the love that He continues to express towards us each and every day. As we begin to understand that and experience that, we can’t help but overflow with love for Him. Out of that place of love, comes a life of obedience, surrender, comes a heart of worship, comes everything else that we do, the ministry, the giving, the generosity, everything else comes because we love Him and we understand His love for us. May that define and describe our walk with God. As we prepare to enter a new year, make this your ambition and focus to understand more of His love so that I can love Him more and let everything come out of the overflow of love towards God. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, for the amazing love you have, had and you continue to have towards us. May our hearts overflow with love towards you, even as we recognize the intensity of your love towards us. Draw us closer, deeper, and stronger in love for you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
