Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome back to living supernaturally, thank you for tuning in. This whole week, we've been studying about our spiritual health and today we're going to look at one more test or one more check that we can do; we can look into our own lives to see how we are doing spiritually. Physically, we could be doing many tests or checks to find out how we are doing physically, the same way this check or test would point us in the right direction, whether we need to take some corrections or whether we're doing okay. This test or check is called the ‘worship check’ or the ‘worship test’. We as believers, we are created, we are wired to worship God and we have been created or designed to be in awe of God and to get a revelation from God, which would inspire our hearts to worship Him. To worship Him meaning to give ourselves completely over, to surrender our lives completely, and to pour out in song, in words, in action through our lives, adoration and worship of God. So, we've been designed to do that, Mathew chapter 15 verse eight and nine, the Lord Jesus talks about how we can actually draw near with our mouth, but we can still be far away. And He talks about vain worship. Let me read those verses, ‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.’ Verse nine, ‘and in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ So the Lord Jesus is talking about a condition in people where they are saying the right things, singing the right songs, and honoring, they are saying all kinds of things with their mouths, but their heart is actually far away from them. So, this is a test, this is a check to find out, are we doing things as of routine? Has worship become a routine, as a ritual, but we're not engaged? Our heart is not engaged in it. John chapter four, verses 23 and 24, the Lord Jesus talks about how the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. The Father is seeking true worshipers to worship Him in spirit and in truth, meaning out of our innermost being, out of our hearts and in truth, without any pretense, without any hypocrisy. So, the question to ask is, do I worship the Lord personally, in spirit and truth, am I excited about God in worship, is worshiping with others (corporate worship) still a priority for me? Is my worship extravagant? and am I worshiping God despite difficulties? We need to honestly answer these questions. This is a check or a test to find out if you're doing spiritually well if you're thriving spiritually. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you that we can come to you in worship, that we can come to you worshiping you in spirit and in truth and we thank you for showing us, that when we don't do that, it is empty worship and you do not desire it and you're seeking worshippers who will draw near in spirit and truth. We pray that may we thrive spiritually, even as we draw near to you in worship in spirit and truth. We thank you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
