Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally. This week, we have been looking at God’s design/ blueprint for us as believers. Today, we are going to look at the fact that God has a blueprint/ a design/ a picture, and He calls us the lampstand, the people of God as the lampstand. We look at Revelation chapter 1 and verse 20 and we read that John has this vision about the seven stars and seven golden lampstands. The Lord Jesus explains about theses lampstands, it says, these lampstands that you see are the seven churches. Church is not a structure or a building, but it is really the people of God. Here, the lampstands are referred to as the people of God. What does this lampstand refer to? In the Old Testament, we see there is a golden lampstand in the tabernacle of Moses and this lampstand was the only source of light in the holy place, where the priest could go and partake of the showbread, this lamp was continually burning, it was a 7 branched lampstand called the menorah and the flame was continually on. It was illuminating the table of showbread which was indicative of the word of God and communion with the Lord Himself. There was also the altar of incense which was symbolic of prayer, intercession, and worship of the Lord Himself. Our role as the lampstand is that we need to illuminate the hearts and minds of people so that they can understand God’s word, partake of God’s word, and commune with the Lord Himself and also, come to a place of communion, prayer, and worship of the Lord. We as the lampstand, we have this privilege, ministry, each believer has this ministry. The Lord Himself came as the light of the world and He has given us this mission to follow in His footsteps. The Lord Jesus says in Mathew chapter 5, ‘you are the light of the world.’ This is who you are, a light is not hidden but is actually set on a hill so that everyone can see, it is not put under a basket, but it is in a place where the light can shine, and people can see. In Mathew chapter 5 and verse 16, He says, ‘Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.’ The good works that we do is supposed to expose the works of darkness, it shines as light before men and reveals who the Father is, so that the Father is glorified. There is also a warning to the church in Revelation chapter 2, about the church in Ephesus, it says that if the things are not set right, then the Lord says, the lampstand will be removed which means the ability to shine, to point to the Father, to reveal the works of the Father, will be diminished and removed. That is a sober warning for us that we will actually live as those lampstands, it’s a privilege to do this. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you, that you have in your wonderful plan and purpose called us to be the lampstands, to shine light, to develop people so that they might partake of the word, commune with you and also minister in prayer, worship and intercession. Lord, we pray that we will be faithful to do this and walk in this, even as we ourselves personally walk in this daily, we thank you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
