Greetings and thank you for joining us throughout the course of this week, as we talked about the believer’s authority. Today, as we close this week of meditation in God's word and prayer, we turn our attention to Romans the 16th chapter, verses 19 and 20, the apostle Paul writes these words, he says, "For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore, I am glad on your behalf, but I want you to be wise in what is good and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." Paul is writing to the believers in Rome and of course there's a lot of things going on, but part of it was they were a persecuted church. They were going through some hard times. The Roman emperor was not very good to the believers, the Christians, people following Jesus and so that was one part of the struggles they were facing and Paul is commending them as he's closing his episode to the believers in Rome. He's commending for their obedience and he's saying, be wise concerning the good things, continue doing the good things. Concerning evil, don't worry too much about it, don't get involved in it and then he assures them of one thing in verse 20, ‘The God of peace will crush Satan underneath your feet shortly.’ Meaning, right now, you're facing challenges, you're facing hardships, you're facing all these things that are going on, but what's going to be the outcome very soon? You're not going to be crushed, but God will crush Satan underneath your feet. This is something you and I must take to heart. There will be battles in life, there will be all kinds of things the devil does and situations that we face that may temporarily cause us a little trouble, little discomfort and all of that, but our God confidence is, "God will crush Satan underneath our feet." The God of peace, the God who gives us peace, the God who brings peace in our lives will crush Satan underneath our feet because that's where Satan belongs and that's the authority God has given to us and that's what He wants His people to be. He wants His people to be a people of authority and dominion. So, today, here we are, 2,000 years later, as believers, and we face different things in life, but this is our same posture. The God who gives peace to me, who brings peace into my life amid all the disturbances around me, He will crush Satan underneath my feet. The one that's causing all these problems will be crushed underneath my feet. He is underneath my feet, but in the problems he's causing, he's going to be crushed, that's our way of thinking as believers because we've been given God-given authority. So, declare that in your life. The God of peace will crush Satan underneath my feet. This trouble I'm seeing, God crushes it underneath my feet. This problem I'm seeing, God crushes it underneath my feet. This confusion I'm seeing, God crushes it underneath my feet. Whatever is not of God, God will crush it underneath your feet. Keep declaring that, that's your place of authority. Let's pray, Father, in Jesus' name, I ask that each of will be encouraged to walk in our God-given authority. We declare that the God of peace who fills our life with peace crushes Satan underneath our feet, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
