Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Spring (Daily Devotional)

Greetings and thank you so much for another opportunity to come to you today, spend a few moments in the word of God and pray with you. This week, we’ve been talking about the human spirit, we have been looking at different pictures in the bible that reveal to us something about the human spirit. This is who all of us are, God created us as spirit beings. So, it is important to understand things about the human spirit and develop the spirit along those lines. Today, I want to bring our attention to the fact that the bible says that the human spirit is like a spring. You read about this in Proverbs chapter 4, verses 20-22, God says, ‘my son attend to my words, incline your ear to my says, let them not depart from your eyes, keep them in the midst of your heart, for they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it come the forces of life, spring, the issues of life.’ God is saying is verse 23, ‘guard your heart with all diligence for out of it come the forces that shape your life, out of it come the springs that shape your life.’ God says, put my word inside your heart, why? Because your heart is like a spring, it is from there those waters come out which then irrigate your life. It is those waters that actually flow into the fields, into every sphere of your activity and they shape, influence what you experience in life. Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it come the forces that shape your life. So, many times we think that our circumstances determine what we become. Well, to some extent, yes, circumstances do have a role to play. Sometimes, we think, well, it’s the people around us who influence what we become, sure, people around us do have some influence. But the greatest and the most important is what is happening or going on in your spirit. God said guard your heart with all diligence for out of your spirit come the forces that are shaping your life. So, what is going on in your heart? Is it good or bad? If my heart is filled with envy, jealousy, anger, bitterness, hatred, resentment, unforgiveness, those are all the wrong kinds of forces in my spirit, and they are going to have a negative influence on my own life. If my heart is filled with love, joy, peace, kindness, meekness, goodness, and temperance, of faith and things of the Spirit those are the kind of things that are going to shape who I become and what happens, my experience in life. It is true, situations, circumstances, and people around us do have some influence but the greatest influence is what is going on in your own spirit. Guard your heart because out of it come the forces that shape your life. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that you help us protect what goes on in our hearts, in our spirit, to protect it and make sure that we walk in purity, in love, in kindness and goodness, in the things of the Spirit so that those can be the forces that shape our life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
