Greetings and thank you so much for joining us today for our daily devotional. We are sharing simple insights on overcoming depression, things that you and I can do, engage with God to throw off this feeling of depression or feelings of despair and hopelessness. Another insight we see in the word of God is that about the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to remove burdens from off our lives. The Bible tells us in Isaiah chapter 10 and verse 27 that the yoke is destroyed and the burden is removed because of the anointing. Now think about the picture painted here, burden- something that weighs us down, yoke- something that really attaches itself onto our lives and puts us down. So, the Bible is saying that because of the Holy Spirit, the anointing, burdens are taken off our lives and yolks are destroyed and for some of us, sometimes, depression can be that burden, that heavy thing that comes on us, depression can be that yoke that just comes upon us, cripples us and puts us down but the anointing, the Spirit of God is the one who can break that yoke and remove that burden and so we need to invite the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. You come under the Spirit's covering. How do you do? Just pray, Holy Spirit, break this yoke and remove this burden of depression of my life. Pray a simple prayer. He's so powerful that He responds to that prayer and His presence and His power will destroy the yoke and remove the burden. Now sometime it's good to have other people help us in that prayer, it's good to have other believers another person, a believer or believers come alongside us and to help us pray because the Holy Spirit is imparted and can be brought into our lives in great measures of the Spirit as other people join with us in prayer. You join together and pray, let's pray and pray that this yoke of depression, this burden of depression be taken off my life and as they pray, the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit's covering comes upon you and He displaces, He breaks the yoke, He removes the burden of depression. This is something God has made available to us and we must receive it by His presence and power of the Holy Spirit, it's removed off of our lives. Let's pray, Father, even now for those listening or watching, I pray that the presence and power of the Holy Spirit come upon them and destroy every yoke and remove every burden of depression off of their lives, right now, let them feel it lift off their life, let them feel the yoke broken, them being free and that burden being removed so they feel light, they feel strong, they feel invigorated, they feel energetic, excited about life, filled with purpose, passion and pursuits that they can go after, touch them and do them in do this, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
