Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome once again, we are studying about the Holy Spirit, the facets of the Holy Spirit and how He helps us in our daily walk with God. Today, we will look at the fact that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of might. We are talking of these names that emerge in Isaiah chapter 11 and verse two describing who the Holy Spirit is and what He does. When we read about the Lord Jesus being empowered by the Holy Spirit and returning to do His ministry from a fast, we read in Luke chapter four and verse one that ‘Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.’ From there on, we see that He comes back with the power of the Holy Spirit. Great and mighty wonders are done through His life. Later on, in the book of Acts, when the early church is anointed by the Holy Spirit, we see them moving in dreams and visions, in prophecies and in speaking in unknown languages, healing people, bringing deliverance to people, all kinds of works of power, works of strength, works of might, this is possible because of the Holy Spirit empowering them. Today, as God's people, when we have to serve God with the same power, we need the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we need the equipping of the Holy Spirit. I'm reminded of Elijah, there was a time in first Kings chapter 18 when he had prophesized that there is going to be rain and when the rain was about to pour, we read about Elijah girding up his loins and running faster than the chariots and the scriptures described that this kind of a physical might came to him by the power of the Holy Spirit. Something supernatural, even in the physical realm, when we need the strength of God, when we're not able to press in with our own energy, we can depend on the might of the Holy Spirit. We are told that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of might, and we are able to do all things with strength and power because the Holy Spirit Himself is leading us, the Holy Spirit Himself is causing us to do these things. The supernatural things, divine things that can be accomplished for the glory of God with the power of God. So, let's be open and especially in times of weaknesses, when we are struggling to persevere in God, we can pray and say, Holy Spirit strengthen me, strengthen me in my mind, strengthen me in my soul, strengthen me in my physical body and even as the Holy Spirit does that, we can run faster, we can run longer and we can do things that we never thought we would be able to do because we have the Spirit of might. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us the Spirit of might because of whom we can do things outside of our natural abilities. We know that it's only possible because of you and so Lord, we give you the glory for all these accomplishments, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
