Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you once again for joining us in this weekly devotion and today’s devotion as well. We hope and trust that as you are meditating in Gods word, you are growing in your knowledge and intimacy with Him. We have been meditating on the theme of restoration and for our meditation/ learning today, we are looking at how God restores our souls. Psalm chapter 23, verse 3 writes, ‘He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.’ This psalm is a very familiar one and I believe most of us know this by heart. When we look at this verse, we do see that very often, the wear and tear of life is something that can drain us and our lives can be replete with moments that really bring us down either physically or emotionally or even a time of dryness in our spirits. These are times when we feel a sense of withering, a sense of being parched like that of a desert and we may seek that rejuvenation. It could be a loss of a loved one or betrayal of somebody or it is a period of doubt or it could just be the everyday grind and routine of things, we all know moments when our souls become weary and tired and our zeal has actually washed away. But in these moments, here is what the psalmist writes, he reminds us of a wonderful truth that God is the one who is the restorer of our souls. Just like a shepherd who tends to his tired and his weary sheep, He ensures that He tends to us and our souls. He doesn’t just patch us up but He restores us, renews us and brings us to that place of wholeness. Often when we look at this verse again, we see that Gods restoration again is not aimless, He restores us so that we are led to paths of righteousness. The purpose of this restoration is just not a personal revival but it can be a divine redirection. When we are restored, we are better equipped in walking along with God’s purposes, to make sure that we make a difference in the world we are in. Our restoration again is just not for our benefit, it is for His namesake, it is for the glory of God. When we are revived, when we live righteously, we become those living testimonies unto Him, we become the testimony of His grace, mercy as well as His restorative power. So, today, if you find your soul being weary, tired, remember the promise of Psalm chapter 23, verse 3. The world often gives us temporary reliefs but in the presence of God, we find our true restoration. Let us pause, reflect and seek Him, whether it is through prayer, through worship, through reading the word, through praying in tongues, let us give that space for Him to restore our souls. May we find solace in this promise. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, I commit everyone hearing us, those who feel weary and tired. Thank you that your promise is for us, that you will restore our souls, you will give us your grace and mercy so that we can live in paths of righteousness for the glory of God. Thank you for hearing our prayer, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
