Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome friends, thank you for making the time to study God’s word together with us. We will be talking about worship, worship which is such an important part of a believer’s life. What is worship? There are a couple of words in the bible that we can look at. In the Hebrew, there is the word called ‘shachah’ it means to prostrate, bow down, fall down flat, revere, beseech, that is worship. There is another Greek word, ‘proskyneo’ which means to kiss the hand, to prostrate, to adore and revere. Here is the picture of worship that we get from the word of God. Revering, we honor God, we give Him reverence, we even bow down before Him, we fall down flat before Him and not just that, there is this other description which says to kiss the hand and that involves affection and the next term there was adore. So, all of this is a part of worship, the way we worship God, the way we honor, the way we draw near to Him, we bow down before Him, we adore Him. Worship is really that act of reverence and adoration which is directed towards God and in worship, we have many expressions of gratitude and devotion unto God and this is very important in our relationship with Him. So, a few key things about worship that we may want to consider are that worship is a response to God’s worth ship. In other words, God is so worthy, He is great and we can keep talking about His nature, His characteristics, His power and all of these things reveal that God is so worthy and every time we look at Him, every time we behold Him and encounter Him in our personal lives and taste of His goodness, we recognize that God is worthy. Even when we go through challenges, we know that God is a God who is good and He is a God who is for us and He is a mighty God who will take us and lead us to green pastures and so God is always worthy, no matter what we are going through, good or bad, God is worthy. So, worship is a response to the worth ship of God. God’s worth never changes and thereby our worship should not seize, our worship can be continual because God continues to be worthy. The psalmist put it beautifully in Psalm chapter 95, verses 6 and 7, ‘Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand.’ When we recognize who God is and we recognize who we are, our response, the way the psalmist writes, ‘worship and bow down and kneel before,’ there are all these expressions of reverence, adoration. Worship is our expressing who God is. Once we recognize Him, God’s worth ship is what we must recognize and that becks for a response and that is our worship. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for who you are, you are glorious, you are worthy. Even now we declare that you are worthy of all honor, all praise, all glory, be exalted, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
