Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Resilient (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings! Thank you once again for the opportunity to spend a few moments with you today. We trust that each day as we spend a few moments just reflecting and thinking and praying that your life is being encouraged. This week we were talking about developing a positive mindset, different aspects of what a positive mindset would look like and be like.

Today I want to bring our attention to a resilient mindset. A resilient mindset is a mindset that never gives up. Like the apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians chapter four as he describes his ministry, he said, ‘we are hard pressed on every side, but yet we do not despair; we are crushed, but we are not perplexed; we are cast down, but we are not destroyed.’ In other words, we are facing hard times, but we are resilient we’re knocked down, but we are back up again. In other words, we don't give up, we don't quit, we don't get out of the race, we don't exit before time, that's being resilient. It's not easy, there are perplexing situations, there are times we’re knocked down, there are times when things are hard, but we don't give up. We are resilient. So, a resilient mindset is always thinking in terms of let's go back, it's not the end of the game, we're going to try again. That means failure is not the final outcome. That doesn't mean we won't face failure, or we won't face something that we tried, and it didn’t work out that, that's not the end of that, but we keep fighting, we keep pressing on. The reason you and I, as believers can have a resilient mindset is simply because the Bible says in Psalms chapter 60 and verse 12, it says ‘through our God, we shall do valiantly’ or in the New Testament, it says in 2 Corinthians chapter 2 and verse 14, ‘Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ.’ So, our expectation is God is going to help us triumph. God is going to help us come true. Therefore, we are resilient. We may face hardships, we may face perplexities, very complex situations, we may face things that may temporarily knock us down or take us off our feet, but we get back up, we keep pressing through. It's not the end of the game because God is going to cause us to triumph. The point is we shouldn't quit. Therefore, in our mindset we are resilient. We are willing to press through, we never give up. We keep pushing forward, we keep trying, we'll knock on another door, we look for another way, we are resilient and that's a mindset that's good for each of us. It's also a mindset that attracts people, that people like to be around, those who have got a ‘never give up’ attitude, those who say I'm going to conquer, I'm going to win because through my God, I will do valiantly. Developed a resilient mindset.

Let's pray, Father, we ask that you'll help us be resilient in our mindset, in our thinking knowing that you always cause us to triumph in Christ. We can always look for a way to come back, to fight, to overcome, to triumph because you're on our side, in Jesus’s name. Amen.
