Greetings and thank you for this opportunity to come to you and thank you for journeying with us throughout this week, as we've been talking about receiving divine healing, reminding ourselves of who God is and how He heals us in our bodies and our minds. Today, we look at 1 Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 20, the apostle Paul writes here, he says, "You were bought at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." Now, we understand the context of 1 Corinthians chapter 6, where Paul is primarily dealing with the issue of sin and sinfulness. We understand that, but what I want to highlight here is that our bodies have been purchased. When Paul tells us here in verse 20, "You have been bought with a price," he's not just talking about our spirit or our soul being bought with the blood that Jesus shed on Calvary's cross. He spells it out very clearly for us, he says, "You were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, the implication is both belong to God." And so, I want to emphasize the fact that the body belongs to God just as much as the spirit belongs to God. And so, what Paul is telling us is don't tolerate sin anywhere in your life, not in your spirit, not in your body, don't tolerate it, that's the essence of 1 Corinthians chapter 6. Sin has no place in our spirit, in our soul, or in our body because our whole being has been bought at a great price, that's the blood that Jesus shed, Jesus gave His own life on the cross so that our spirit, soul, and body could belong to God and be completely God's purchased possession. He paid a great price and now it completely belongs to Him. So, don't give sin any place. But on that same token, we can also say that sickness should have no place in our spirit, soul, or body. Sin is sickness to the spirit, but think about the soul, that's our mind, our emotions, and also our body. They equally belong to God and sickness has no place in our soul and in our body. You say, "Why is it, why do you say that?" Because remember, God said, "I am the Lord your healer." And if he's our healer, what would He want for us in our soul and in our body? He would want healing and wholeness, that's who He is and that's what He gives to us. And therefore, just as we do not tolerate sin in our spirit, in our soul, and in our body, we must refuse to tolerate sickness in our spirit, soul, and body. Say, "No sickness, no disease, nothing that brings pain and hurt and discomfort and disease in my soul and in my body will be tolerated because my soul and my body belong to God." So, you begin to say, "My body is God's property, my body is not a place for sickness and disease, my body is a place for the healing that Jesus provided for me through the cross. Just as there is forgiveness for me in my spirit and I've been made the righteousness of God, there is wholeness provided for my soul and my body and there is wholeness and healing and health in my soul and in my body. So, stand your ground. Your body belongs to God just as much as your spirit belongs to God. They were both bought through the same price that was paid on Calvary's cross. So, resist sickness the same way you despise and resist sin. Let's pray, Father, we thank you that our bodies belong to you and therefore, in the name of Jesus, we declare that our body is God's property and we resist sickness, pain, disease, spirits of infirmity, spirits of depression, spirits of confusion, spirits of fear, anxiety, things that cause trouble in our soul and cause trouble in our bodies, we resist them and we command them to leave because our body and our soul are God's property. They're God's purchased possession, they're holy ground, they're blessed ground and this is God's property and therefore, they will be whole and well, in Jesus' name, Amen.
