Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you so much for this time to come to you and spend a few moments in the word of God and prayer. We are talking this week on strengthening our inner man. As the apostle Paul prayed for those in Ephesus, he prayed for them that they would be strengthened with power in their inner man by the Holy Spirit. We want to explore and understand how can we be strengthened with God’s power in our spirit, how do we draw power and strength from God in our spirit? Yesterday, we mentioned about fellowshipping with God, being and communing with God through His word and prayer. I want to extend that thought today by talking about the importance of quietness in the presence of God. Isaiah chapter 30, verse 15, the bible says, ‘in returning and rest you will be saved, in quietness and confidence will be your strength.’ God is actually speaking to His people and if you read the context of Isaiah chapter 30, they are trying to do so many things, they are trying to run on their chariots and get away, do something on their own and in the middle of all that, God is saying, if you get back to me and rest before me, you will have your salvation and in quietness and confidence, putting your trust in God, you will have strength. Coming to this place of rest and quietness before God is something we must learn to do. Sometimes, we want to engage in a lot of spiritual activity, there is nothing wrong in praising God and other things we will do, those are good things, but we must also learn to just be quiet in the presence of God. As you read His word and as you pray, there is got to be that stillness, rest and quietness and God says in that place of quietness, we will find strength. He says, when your still, you can know that He is God. As part of our time or our engagement/ communion/ fellowship/ time with God, have time for quietness. Not that you need to say a lot of things or singing songs all the time, just be quiet before Him and let Him minister to you by His Spirit, because in the quietness you bring yourself to before God, you can hear His still small voice. Your eyes can be opened to things you haven’t seen, your ears can be opened to things you have never heard because God says, what I speak to you in the dark, or in that quietness, you can shout form the housetops. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that you will help us learn to rest and be quiet before you because you said, in returning and rest, in quietness and confidence, we will have strength. Help us to learn to do this, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
