Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Possibility (Daily Devotional)

Greetings! Thank you so much for this opportunity to come to you and spend a few moments with you in the word of God and prayer. This week we're talking about mindset, and today I want to talk about having a possibility mindset. The best way to illustrate what we are talking about or trying to communicate today is to look at that incident in the ministry of Jesus, we read this in the gospels, in John chapter 6 and also Mathew chapter 14, where Jesus fed the 5000 people, men besides women and children. In John’s account, the crowd has been with Jesus for three days and the disciples come and say, let us send the people away, they have been with us for a long time. Then Jesus says, you give them something to eat. They are obviously taken aback by that suggestion/ command/ instruction from the Lord. How we are going to give more than 5000 people something to eat out here. Immediately Andrew goes into his accounting mindset, after doing his calculations and says Lord, even if we have so much money, we will not be able to buy the bread and the food that we need. Probably he has thought through on this and said it is not going to work, even if we have the money, there is no place we can go and buy the food that is needed to feed all of these people. That is the Andrew mindset- very logical and pragmatic. There is another person called Philip and we don’t know exactly what went through his mind but there seems to be this indication that he had this sense of possibility. What does Philip do? He gets the food that the little boy was carrying, and he comes to the Lord and says Lord, we’ve got five loaves and two fish here, perhaps something can be done, there is a possibility there. He is thinking, we’ve got something to start with, this is obviously not what we need, it is far short of what we need, but there is a possibility here, we’ve got 5 loaves and 2 fish. Then Jesus tells them, tell the people to sit down, He gives thanks, and He tells them to go out and distribute it. I’m just thinking about Philip, what must have gone through his mind when he bought 5 loaves and 2 fish to Jesus? Perhaps, he is thinking in terms of possibilities. Just a little here, but there is something big that can come out of it if I can put it in the hands of Jesus, perhaps something to start with, he must have been thinking in terms of possibilities and that is something I want to encourage us to have a possibility mindset. You’ve got something little and small, a little talent here, a little gift there, a little opportunity, a little finance, a little energy, and strength, but what would that amount to if it was placed in the hands of Jesus? That is possibility thinking, think in terms of possibilities of what God can do with the little we have. Have a possibility mindset because of God. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that in every circumstance you will help us see possibilities, to see not the closed door but the opportunity that could happen, that doors could open, ways could be made, because you are in charge. Help us to see and think in terms of possibilities, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
