Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome to Living supernaturally. As believers we have the greatest privilege of calling on the name of the Lord, taking our needs to God, in other words we have this greatest privilege of praying to the living God and seeing our prayers heard and answered. There are many kinds of prayers that we see in the word, prayer of asking and receiving, prayer of intercession and faith and so on. We are going to look into the word and study about one prayer that was made and then learn from it.

Today, we are going to look at Philippians chapter 1 and part of it where Paul prays for the believers in Philippi and this is what he prays in verse 3, ‘I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.’ Here Paul prays and thanks God upon every remembrance/ every time he is reminded of them, he thanks the Lord. He is praying these spontaneous prayers and every time he is reminded of some believers in Philippi, he thanks God for them. He says, always and in every prayer of mine, making requests for you with all joy for your fellowship in the gospel. Their partnership in the gospel and Kingdom work is something he is praying for; that they would partner and do the work of the extension of the kingdom of God/ gospel. This is something he is constantly praying, and this is something we can pray as well. Pray for people, thank God for their fellowship in the gospel work and if we know that they have not yet started doing anything for the Kingdom of God/ for the extension of the kingdom of God, we can pray towards that as well. Maybe there are some challenges, fears, and wrong understanding which is preventing them from going forward and stepping out in faith, so we can pray and ask God to enable them to get into Kingdom work and work for the extension of the Kingdom.

The other thing he declares over them is this, ‘being confident of this very thing that He who has begun a good work in you, will complete it, until the day of Jesus Christ.’ So, he is declaring that God who has begun a good work, will bring it to completion. Whatever work He has started, maybe as a believer you started a journey, walking with God, now the work that the Lord has started, He is faithful to bring it to completion; so, he declares that over them. So here we see that this is the kind of prayer that we can pray over ourselves, we can pray for our fellowship in the gospel work, and we can also make this declaration over ourselves that, God who has started a good work in me, will bring it to completion.

Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for those whom we know, in our sphere of influence, who you have brought into our lives. We pray for their fellowship in the work of the gospel, we pray that you will bring them to maturity, that they will discover their call and purpose and step out in faith into the work that you have called them. I just pray that if there are any barriers hindering them, let it be removed right now in the name of Jesus, we also declare over their lives that the Lord who has started the good work, you will bring it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ. Let this give them much hope, much joy, and much confidence, we thank you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
