Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you once again for the opportunity to come to you today and spend a few moments in the word and in prayer. We are continuing to learn about Jesus’s teaching on faith and we are just highlighting various elements of His teaching concerning this subject of faith.

What we do see in what Jesus communicated concerning faith is that Jesus expressed, that there are different levels of faith. How do we know that? There are times when Jesus spoke to people and said, how is it that you have no faith? So, He recognized the absence of faith - no faith. One example is in Mark chapter 4 and verse 40, when the disciples were in the boat and there was a storm in the sea and they were all panicking and they asked Jesus to wake up, we are about to drown; Jesus responds and says how is it that you have no faith to His disciples. There were times when Jesus spoke to people and said, O you, of little faith. There are several instances, for example in Mathew chapter 6, in context of anxiety and worry, He said, when we worry, we are actually being of little faith, we are expressing very little faith, when we let worry and anxiety override in our hearts and minds. There were other occasions as well, we don’t have time to cover all of them. There were times He said, little faith, now little not in the same sense of that mustard seed, that mustard seed is a very positive example of faith, that is very powerful which can move mountains but, in this case, it was little in the sense that it was insufficient, it was actually demonstrating a lack of faith. So, He rebuked people when they showed little faith. There were times when He spoke to people and He said you have got great faith- the Roman centurion, the Canaanite woman, two people to whom He said, you’ve got great faith. So, He spoke about no faith, little faith, and great faith. We can derive several inferences or conclusions form these statements, first of all, there are different levels of faith that we can have at different times. It also means that we can increase and grow in our faith. We may start out with no faith, move into a place of little faith but we can definitely come into a place of great faith. If the Roman centurion and the Canaanite woman could be people of great faith, surely you and I, can also come into that place of great faith in God and that is where we always want to abide. We want to be people of great faith in God and hopefully as we continue in these days to come, we will learn how to do that. Let your faith grow, let your faith in God increase.

Let’s pray, Father, we ask that we move from our level of faith to greater faith, from faith to faith, to increased levels of faith in you, may we come to a place of great faith that when Jesus looks at our hearts, He will tell us, you are of great faith, thank you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
