Hello everyone, it's wonderful to study God's word together. Today, we'll talk about pursuing revelation and understanding from God and let's begin by reading a couple of scriptures. Ephesians chapter 1 and verse 17, Paul writes ‘that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the Spirit of wisdom and revolution in the knowledge of Him.’ Here is a prayer of the apostle Paul and he wants the believers to grow up in God, to know God in a greater way. The prayer that he is making is asking God for the spirit of wisdom and revelation and even as the Lord would work through His Spirit upon us, what would happen is that we will have the knowledge of Him that means greater understanding of who God is, greater understanding of the heart of God, greater understanding of the purposes of God. So, this was the prayer of Paul and today this is the prayer for each one of us as believers that you and I may have that spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of our God. As we read on several other passages, we see that Paul is also asking the believers to have the revelation and the understanding of the will of God for their lives. In Ephesians chapter 5 verse 17, he says ‘therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.’ Here is another aspect that we need understanding about and that is the will of God for our lives and this is not just the will of God as far as only our destiny is concerned but our day-to-day choices and decisions. Now from what Paul is writing, he is saying that we must understand what the will of the Lord is and that is indicating to us that it is possible to understand the will of the Lord. By the leading of His Word, by the leading of His Spirit, you and I can know quite definitely what God's will and purpose for us is with regard to various aspects of our lives. And so, we can pray and we can ask God and say God, help me to understand your will in every aspect, in all the choices and decisions that I'm making. Another scripture is from 2 Peter chapter 3 and verse 18 where Peter is praying this prayer, he says, ‘but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. It is an exhortation and also it is a prayer for the believers where Peter is really desiring for the believers to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We need to grow up in God. It's wonderful to talk about how we came to know Him and the encounters of yesterday but the Lord is doing something new today and He will continue to pour out His work upon us if we seek Him and that is what we want. We want more and more of God's work in our lives. Let's go ahead and pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for this journey that we are on. We pray that we will not remain with yesterday's revelation and knowledge. But Father that You will strengthen us, you will add to that revelation so that we can become stronger in you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org.
