Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Increase (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you for giving us the opportunity to come to you today, spend this time in the word of God, look at scripture and be encouraged from scripture. This week, we are dealing with the topic of success, of being prosperous, of doing well in whatever we are doing. Of course, each one of us are called to do different things but in whatever we are called to do, we should do well. What we are seeing in scripture is that God enables us to do well. He blesses us so that we can be successful, we can be prosperous, but He has invited us to live by His word, to be guided by Him, to trust in Him and we will then walk in success, blessing and prosperity. Increase also comes from God. Again, when I say increase, increase could mean different things for each of us. Like we said for the farmer, increase could be having a bigger harvest this year, therefore more money coming in. For a college student, increase could be maybe doing much better in their studies or stepping into better opportunities. For a professional, working in their organization, increase could mean being given better opportunities, great responsibilities or seeing more sales and revenue coming in into their department. Increase comes from God, it could be described or defined differently for each of us, but what I want to impress on you from the scriptures today is that you can expect increase coming into your life from God as a result of His blessing. Psalms chapter 115, verse 14, the psalmist said, ‘May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children.’ Who is going to give us increase? May the Lord give you increase. I speak that for you, may the Lord give you increase more and more, to you and your children. Psalms chapter 71, verse 21, the psalmist said, ‘You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.’ If your read the context there, he is facing challenges, but in the middles of those challenges he is saying, God you will increase my honor, people are trying to bad mouth me, speak against me and tear me down, but in the middle of that, the psalmist says you will increase my honor, my greatness, all the mudslinging that people are doing is going to amount to nothing, I’m just going to be more honored and become great. He says you will comfort me on every side, you will take care of all these people who are bringing disrepute. In that situation, he is talking about increase of honor, favor, being held in higher repute. So, whatever your increase is, God will bring it in your life. That is part of being successful, being fruitful, being prosperous. Our increase comes from God, the apostle Paul put it like this in terms of ministry, he says, one man sows, another man waters, but God gives the increase. So, we look to God because He is the source of our increase. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, that you bring increase. I pray for each one listening, whatever increase is to them, we pray that you will increase it, give them much more, more success, more prosperity in their lives, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
