Shalom and thank you once again for joining us for Living Supernaturally. Today, we are going to wrap up our series on the surety of God’s promises. As we wrap up, we are looking at this truth that in Jesus, all His promises are yes and Amen. In Jesus, is the yes and Amen of all of God’s promises. 2 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 20 reads, ‘For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.’ All the promises of God in Jesus are yes and Amen meaning that in Jesus, is the complete guarantee and confirmation of all of God’s promises. God the Father will always say yes to His Son and will always affirm what the Son says. Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the yes of Jesus. For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their answer in Christ. All things are complete, they are true and are finished in Jesus Christ. What a hope this is for us when we hold on to the promises of God. I want to bring your attention to what the verse reiterates. It says, all of the promises of God, this includes the vastness and the inclusiveness of all of God’s promises. Every promise God has made in His word and every assurance given to us by Jesus is encompassed by this certainty. So, how can we respond to this verse? First of all, we need to believe and have the strong assurance that whatever promise in the word of God that we are holding on to has its answer and its yes in Jesus. There is no ambiguity and there is absolutely no second guessing. It is assured for us because as we saw through the whole of last week, not one of His word fails. His covenant is unbreakable, His word will prosper, His word will remain forever, He is the one who makes good His word, He is the one who watches and performs His word. The response of us as believers to God’s promises being fulfilled in Christ is to say Amen. This word means ‘so be it’ or ‘it is true’. This signifies agreement and acceptance and faith. When we say an Amen, we acknowledge that the truth of God’s promises and we also glorify Him. What is a promise that you are holding onto and in what situation? Be encouraged to know that in Jesus the answer is yes and continue to respond with an Amen, declaring your agreement and your faith in what God has already done and finished for you. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we believe that all your promises are yes and Amen in Jesus. Whatever we are holding onto, we believe they are yes and Amen in Jesus. Thank you for what we are seeing in our lives through the way of holding on to your promises. Thank you for teaching us this truth, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
