Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings! and thank you for joining us today for a few moments of prayer and meditation in God's word. As we come to the close of another year, and realize it's been a difficult year for many of us. The pandemic and other things related to it, have brought a lot of trouble in people's lives, it's not been easy this year. Some of us have lost loved ones, some of us have had changes in our job, some may have lost jobs, it's been hard to find jobs and I’ve met several people who have been in that position, it's not easy and businesses that were doing well because of all these changes have had to come to a standstill, but I want to just pronounce God's word over you and me. The bible says unto us who fear His name, the Sun of Righteousness will arise. In Micha chapter seven, verses 7-8, the prophet expresses this, he says, ‘therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.’ So, what's he saying? There are times, and this can happen to anybody, there are times we fall, there are times we find ourselves in places that are dark, like we said, things have happened in life situations, loved ones have passed on, jobs may have been lost, businesses may not have been able to do well. You find yourself in darkness and things are not so good. But you know what this prophet here, he says, you know, I have this confidence. First of all, God hears me, He's not deaf. My prayers, my pleas, my cries, my entreaties to the Lord, it’s not falling on deaf ears. My God hears me, and he has this confidence when I go down, I will rise. That going down is temporary, that going down is momentary because my God hears me; He says, I will rise, I will come back and he says, look if I'm sitting in darkness, it's not the end because the Lord will be a light, the Sun of Righteousness will shine through. So, whatever it is in your life, I want to remind you, because you fear the name of the Lord, He's hearing your cry, and He will arise, His light will break forth and even if you've been on a momentary, downward trend, have this expectation, you will arise. God will bring you up. It's temporary, He'll put you up, have this expectation because His word says because you fear His name, the Sun of Righteousness will come. Let's pray, Father, we are people who fear your name and you’ve promised the Sun of Righteousness will rise. And even if we fall, even if we're going down, you will cause us to rise. And if even we find ourselves in the darkness, you will be our light, O God vindicate, O God breakthrough in our lives, we're expectant. Thank you in, Jesus’s name, Amen.
