Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Identity (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Hello friends! It is really exciting to see that a child of God can stand firm through various seasons of their life.

Today, I want to talk about something that is so important for us to be anchored in the storms of life and that is our identity. Second Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 17 says, ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.’ One of the thigs that God does for us when we put our faith in Him, and repent of our sins, we embrace His salvation is to make us a new creation. That is wonderful because God doesn’t just patch us up here and there and renovate us and say that okay you go on with life as this patched up being. Scripture tells us that He makes us a brand-new creation. So, our identity must be embedded in who we are in Christ Jesus. Self-image is crucial for various reasons; it is crucial because of the way we interact with ourselves, the way we accommodate ourselves, the way we interact with God will depend on our self-image. The way we interact with the world around us, the way we face the enemy will depend on our self-image, which is why we have to be so anchored and rooted in our identity in Christ. We have been talking about being firm through all the seasons of life, bring anchored in our new identity in Christ will give us that stability.

So, what is it that has happened to us in Christ Jesus? We have now become children for God and that is a great truth for us to embrace. Isn’t it wonderful to call God at a personal level as Abba Father and to be able to reach out to Him in every situation of life because God becomes our Father when we accept the Lord Jesus as our savior? We also see that in Christ Jesus we are loved by God, and we loved by God the very same way which He loved the Lord Jesus. There is no distinction, God loves us the way He loved Jesus. When my identity is in this, I will be confident person no matter what I go through in my life. Scriptures also tell us that we have now become the friends of God, we are no longer the enemies of God in a different camp and against God, but God is for us and that give us great stability in our lives. We understand that we have now been justified, we as believers have become saints, we are blessed, redeemed, complete in Christ. There are so many different things that have happened to us in Christ Jesus and when I am anchored in this reality, whether I am facing personal or workplace or family level challenges, I will continue to draw my strength from who God has made me in Him and the capacity that my new man now has in Christ Jesus. So, friends I just want to encourage us, be grounded, and rooted in your identity in Christ Jesus, and you will stand firm like that house which was built on the rock.

Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for who we are in Christ Jesus. Holy Spirit we pray, that you will open to us this truth and let that revelation completely consume us so that we can continue to stand strong, firm, and be victorious in every situation of our lives, we give you thanks and praise, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
