Ideas For Increase (Daily Devotional)

Hi friends, I trust that you are enjoying this teaching and not only that, you are seeing God do amazing things in your life, even in this week because our God is a God of increase. Today, we will continue to meditate on the word of God. I’d like to read for us from Genesis chapter 31 and verse 43 it says, ‘as the man became exceedingly prosperous and had large flocks, female and male servants and camels and donkeys.’ Genesis chapter 31 talks about the work that Jacob did. Jacob worked for his father-in-law, he took care of herds and flocks, but in this passage, you would understand that he used a particular idea to breed his flocks. We won't go into the details of it, but somehow the idea that Jacob applied brought him an incredible increase. Even if people were to try that, today, a lot of people talk about it and researchers have tried to look deep into what is this method that Jacob used, but it was more than the principle and the technique that he used, it was the blessing of God in the work that he did. But here is the point, he followed the creative instruction of God and there was an increase in his flocks. In the same way today, with the times that we are in, you and I could be wanting creative ideas from God. We are doing our work in a certain manner; however, God can give us unique and unusual ideas and as we apply these ideas, you and I can experience the kind of breakthroughs that people of God have experienced earlier. Our God is a creative God and He has not stopped speaking. If only you and I can reach out to Him and in our workplace, you know different ones of us, some of us could be entrepreneurs, some of us could be in a certain professional line, some of us could still be students, but whoever we are, as we seek God for creative ideas, I believe that God will release it to us. I'm reminded of one more passenger here from Isaiah chapter 28, verse 26 it says, ‘for He instructs him in right judgment, His God teaches him.’ Today, are we looking for somebody to coach us, somebody to lead us, somebody to instruct us, somebody to guide us in the path of increase? God is that resource, God is the one who can grant us creative ideas. Depend on Him, and the way ahead will be very different and truly blessed. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we are so grateful that God you are engaged in our lives. Even as we do what you have called us to do, take us to the next level, enable us to cut off from status quo and to soar on wings like eagles. Father, we ask for your creativity, give us your instructions and help us to do things in an amazing way and let your name be glorified, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
