Welcome to Living Supernaturally. We're so glad that you could be here today even as we study God's
word together. We have been looking at God's word, especially at the lives of people in God's word
whom God spoke to, whom God called and they responded by saying ‘here I am’. So, in response to
their response, God did something in their lives. God gave them instructions, God lifted them up, God
revealed the plan and purpose that He has for them and so many exciting and interesting things
happened because they responded by saying ‘here I am’. So, today we're looking at the life of the
prophet Isaiah and we are looking at Isaiah chapter 6 which says, that in the year that king Uzziah died,
Isaiah had an encounter, he saw the Lord sitting on a throne high and lifted up, and the train of his robe
filled the temple. And he saw seraphim and each one had six wings and how they covered their face and
feet and how they flew and they cried out to each other saying holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts, the
whole earth is full of His glory and even the doorpost of the temple were shaken by the voice of him
who cried out holy, holy, holy and the whole place was filled with the glory of God, it was filled with
smoke. So, Isaiah when he has this encounter he says, woe is me, woe is me. He encounters the glory of
God, the holiness of God, the majesty of God in the temple and he says "Woe is me for I am a man of
unclean lips." He suddenly realizes his own uncleanness in the light of the holiness and the majesty and
the glory of God. Then something happens- one of the seraphim takes a live coal from the altar and
touches his mouth and he says you are cleansed, this has touched your lips, your iniquity is taken away
and your sin purged. And then there's a question, whom shall I send and who will go for us? Isaiah
responds by saying ‘here am I Lord, send me’. In other words, he's saying, ‘here I am, send me’ and then
the Lord responds by giving him the message and directing him to where he should go and so begins his
ministry. So, we see the encounter, the cleansing and the commissioning of the prophet Isaiah. So, a lot
of things happen on the other side of our response to God when we yield, surrender and we say and we
make our availability known to Him and say, ‘here I am Lord’. So today, maybe in your life, you're going
through stuff and you recognize that everything around you is not of God, everything around you is
sinful and unrighteous and so on even as you encounter God, can you give a wholehearted yes to Him
and say here I am Lord? Let's pray, Father, we thank you Lord even as we give our wholehearted yes to
you and say ‘here I am’ just like prophet Isaiah did when he had that encounter. Lord, here we are and
we say Lord, ‘here we are ‘. We pray that you would speak to us, we pray that you would cleanse us and
purify us and give us that mission and give us that message and commission us. Let there be specifics
even as we pray. Lord, we pray that you would bring this to us in our own lives, in Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
