Welcome to Living Supernaturally and thank you for taking the time to be here even as we study God's
word together. God's word is amazing, God's word gives us strength, God's word produces faith in us
and lifts up our life above the natural to live a supernatural life. We've been studying different aspects
of God's word and especially we've been looking at the response of people where God speaks to them
and they responded by saying ‘here I am’. It was a wholehearted yes and they said ‘here I am’ and God
responded by giving some instructions, talking about their future and so on. We go to Acts chapter 9
where we study about this man Ananias. We look into Acts chapter 9 and we are introduced to Ananias,
he is a disciple of the Lord, so, he is a follower of the Lord Jesus, he's a disciple and is in this place called
Damascus and to him the Lord meets with him and says in a vision, ‘Ananias’ and Ananias says "Here I
am Lord." Now prior to this something interesting has happened and it is about Paul or Saul and even as
he's on the way to Damascus, he has this supernatural encounter with God and he's knocked off the
animal that he was riding on, he's unable to see, he has heard the voice of the Lord Jesus, he says "Who
are you, Lord?" And the Lord introduces Himself and He says "why are you persecuting me?" And so,
Saul or Paul is there in this house and he's waiting, he's been given instruction that someone will come,
this person Ananias will come and meet with him. At the same time, Ananias has this vision and Ananias
responds by saying "Here I am Lord." So, we see this amazing way in which God orchestrates
circumstances, people, places to bring about His will. In Acts chapter 9 and verse 11 we see, ‘so the Lord
said to him, ‘arise and go to the street called straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called
Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.’ In response to this, Ananias is worried, he's troubled because
he's heard of Saul and how he's been persecuting the church and so Ananias responds by saying "Are
you sure? Lord, I've heard of him, how he persecutes the church” but the Lord reassures him and asks
him to go and tells him to go and pray. So, Ananias after his, ‘here I am; to the Lord, he obeys and he
goes and he lays hands on Saul and he prays and something supernatural/ miraculous happens. Saul
receives his vision. He had been unable to see for the past few days and he receives his vision but not
only that, the Bible says that he's filled with the Holy Spirit. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you Lord as
you did in the life of Ananias when he gave his yes to you so also Lord, I pray you would do for each one
of us, when we respond with a wholehearted yes, when we say yes to your call. Whatever you have in
store for us to fulfill the plan and purpose which involves being a blessing to other people, being salt and
light in our lives, we pray that you would bring it to pass. To those who do not know you yet Lord, we
pray that you would use us to bring the good news of salvation, to those who are in prison, we pray that
you would use us to bring deliverance and those who need healing and wholeness, that you would use
us use us to bring healing and wholeness. We thank you for doing this in each one of our lives, we give
you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’ matches name we pray, Amen.
