Hello everyone! One of the blessings that we enjoy in our lives is the relationships that God has placed in our lives and we are so grateful for all that healthy relationships bring.

Today, we will talk about the importance of wisdom in our relationships. When we look at Proverbs chapter 4, verse 7, it says, ‘wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom, and whatever you get, get understanding.’ God wants for us to walk in wisdom. Wisdom will help us apply knowledge. Wisdom will help us resolve problems. We could say that some of the situations that we face and especially with people are so difficult and complicated. How could we ever resolve it or find a solution? Well, we can ask God for His help. In the book of James, James chapter 1, he says that we go through all kinds of difficulties, tribulations and trials but in those times, one of the things that we have to seek God for is wisdom and when we have wisdom, we will be able to find our way out of that problem. James chapter 1, verse 5 says, ‘If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you’. God is the giver of wisdom and He graciously supplies when we seek Him for wisdom. This is something that we need in all our relationships, maybe in our personal relationships, our family relationships or when it comes to the work scene; everyday, there can be challenges but God can give us wisdom. I’m reminded of a church situation which the apostles faced in the early church. This is at a time when there was some misunderstanding of serving of food to widows and in Acts chapter 6, we find that the apostles make a decision to appoint seven volunteers, that is wisdom. They could have ignored the problem and blamed one of the groups saying you’re being oversensitive or there is no such issue but they sought God for His wisdom and God gave them a plan and strategy to find volunteers. When they found volunteers, it is very beautiful to read that the problem was solved and not only that, the following scriptures in that chapter talk about how the church continued to grow and thrive. This shows us that resolving problems with the wisdom of God is so crucial for us to keep seeing the work of God grow in our midst. God is always ready to pour out His wisdom on us. No matter what situation you and I are going through today, may we receive of His wisdom and find a way out and may we see His glory. Let’s pray together, Father, we thank you that you are a generous giver of wisdom. So, in whatever situation we are in today, we pray that you will pour out your wisdom and understanding upon our lives. Help us to grow in wisdom. We ask for the operation of the gift of wisdom so that we can thwart every attack an offense of the enemy. We thank and praise you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
