Greetings and thank you for this opportunity to come to you today, as we continue this week meditating on ‘For God so loved’, that God loves you and me and He loves every person in this world. In thinking about the love of God, of course, we want you to personalize it and I want you to think about the fact that God loves you as a person. The apostle Paul points us to the fact that God clothes us, He wraps us in His love. In Ephesians chapter 1, verses 4 through 6, he says, ‘just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.’ So, what the apostle Paul is saying here is that God has wrapped us or He has positioned us before Himself in love. So, when God looks at you, He looks at you in love, as someone who is in Christ, as you, as a believer in Jesus Christ, He looks at you in love. He sees you as somebody who is holy and without blame, that means there is no condemnation, there is no judgment, there is no sentencing of sin as He looks at you because He has put you/ positioned you in love. Here is something we must understand that today because you are in Jesus Christ, because you believe in Christ, because you are in the beloved, God looks at you in love. Verse 6 says we are accepted in the beloved, that means He looks at you with eyes of acceptance, not with eyes of rejection or judgement or condemnation or dismay or dissatisfaction, there is acceptance in His eyes, He sees you in love. So, every time you wonder, how does God look at me today? What is God’s perception of me? What is God’s view of me? He looks at you with eyes of love, those are the Father’s eyes, His eyes are eyes of love. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, that today in Christ we stand wrapped in your love, holy and without blame. We stand accepted in Christ, we are accepted, embraced and loved by you, thank you for that, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
