Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you for joining us for another episode on Living Supernaturally. We are looking at the topic of work and we ran the last two days understanding some perspectives from God’s word about work. We saw that work is a gift of God and that when we work, we work as unto the Lord, God is our boss. Today, we look at a very important work ethic and we see that the bible encourages hard work and dedication. It is no coincidence that companies or nations or individuals prosper with an ethic such as hard work and dedication. That is how God created and ordered His creation. There is a reward for every hard work, so we know that hard work pays. Anyone who puts his hand on work and works hard, will definitely receive a tangible reward for it. Reward comes when you carry out your work in diligence and wholeheartedness. Proverbs chapter 14, verse 23 says, ‘In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty.’ In as much as we know that God provides all our needs, we must understand that God expects us to work hard. He has commanded us to work hard. In fact, as the scripture shows in the Lord’s eyes, all work, it says, in all labor, there is profit. So, all work has dignity, this verse highlights this, all labor. So, whatever you do, you could be a student handing over projects, you could be a business person, you could be a homemaker, an entrepreneur, someone in ministry doing work; God sees our work and He encourages our hard work. Even though we work for men, we understand that we work for God and God is the one who has placed us there and we work hard so that we receive our reward. We know that God has a role in blessing the work of our hands but we need to diligently work with what He has given to us. The bible gives us a parallel in the book of Proverbs and draws lessons form the ants. The ant, as you know is an industrious creature, it is small in size but it is extremely wise and it has the ability to optimize its skill and its resources and works in such a way that it teaches us certain important truths and lessons. The ants teach us the value of hard work. We see that ants are never lazy; they are always doing something. Their efforts and hard work are what sustains them through difficult seasons of life. When we strive to be diligent and work hard, we can be assured that we will be blessed physically, we will be blessed spiritually and financially. We should be wise and learn from the ant. These tiny creatures do not need a supervisor but they work hard and get the job done. Let’s examine our attitude towards hard work. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the way that you teach us differently about how we use and optimize the work you have given us. May we stand on this ethic of working hard, dedicating our lives to what you have called us for. Thank you because you are the rewarder of things that we do. Thank you for the blessing that you have promised when we work hard. Thank you for the dignity that you have for any work that we do, you see it and you appreciate it, thank you Lord Jesus, in your name we pray, Amen.
