Hello and welcome everyone, thank you for taking the time to join in and spend some time in God's word. Let's look at the life of Hannah in the Bible. We see her life in 1 Samuel chapters 1 and 2 and let's see what we can learn from her. Even as we consider this personality by the name of Hannah, we see that she was highly favored by her husband and greatly loved. So, there were aspects of her life that were going well, but at the same time, scriptures tell us that she carried deep sorrow. In 1 Samuel chapter 1, verse 7, we read about it and we see that the sorrow that she carried was so deep that it affected her to the point where she couldn't even eat. So, there were things that were going great, but there were other aspects of her life which didn't seem to be all right. She had something that she was yearning for and she was asking the Lord for and at the same time, we also notice that there was provoking that was happening by her rival, the other lady that was married by Elkanah. And in these circumstances, we recognize that Hannah faced adversity. Even for us, as we journey through life, there can be certain aspects that seem to go smoothly and may be almost perfect, but there can be areas of our lives where we are seeking the Lord for more, we are seeking the Lord for the fulfillment of His promises and there are aspects where we could be facing adversity. We recognize that our enemies are not people. When we look at Ephesians chapter 6, verse 12, the Bible tells us that we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but we have a spiritual enemy, and that is satan. So, how do we face this spiritual enemy? In verse 13 of Ephesians chapter 6, the word of God tells us to take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. For us to walk through adversity, we need to be dressed in the armor of God. This life is a battle, whether we recognize it or not, but God has equipped us for battle, and God has already given us victory through Jesus Christ. And so, you and I can walk in victory even when we are facing adversity and that's the reminder and encouragement that we want to leave us with. God is with us; God is for us; He goes before us; put on the full armor, and march forward to victory. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the reminder that you are with us in every battle and because of the finished work of the cross, we can walk in triumphant victory. Help us to never forget that we are called to be victorious, we thank you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
