⁠God Our Peace - Perfect Peace (Daily Devotional)

Hello and welcome everyone, thank you so much for connecting. We continue to speak about God's peace. Let's begin by reading a scripture, THIS is from Isaiah chapter 26 and verse 3 and it says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you." God has promised us perfect peace. In the Hebrew, the words are ‘shalom and shalom’. The kind of peace that God wants to give us is double peace, if you will. As we look at the Amplified version of the same scripture, the passage reads something like this, "You will keep in perfect and constant peace, the one whose mind is steadfast, that is committed and focused on you in both inclination and character." God is promising us perfect peace. In other words, absolute peace, or even total peace. This peace touches every part of who we are, our spirit, our soul, our body. We can call this complete well-being, or soundness across all the things that concern us and that's the kind of peace that God wants us, as believers to walk in. Remember, He's Jehovah Shalom, the Lord our peace, the one who gives us peace. If we look closely at this passage, we notice, ‘you will keep him and that tells us that this is a work that God will do. Him being the source of peace, releases peace, gives peace, that's something that God does for us. How encouraging to know that even if our circumstances are lacking peace, or we don't feel like we have peace right now, we can receive it from the source who is God Himself. He will keep us in perfect peace, total well-being, completeness, and absolute peace. No matter what we're going through, we can walk in the peace of God because it comes from Him, and He will keep us in that peace. Shall we pray together? Abba Father, we thank you for this promise that you are our peace, and you will keep us in absolute peace. We pray may your peace be displayed in and through our lives. Lord, we thank you for doing this for us, we worship and honor you, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
