Hello everyone, welcome. Jehovah Shalom, the God who is our peace and this is the thought that we've been meditating on. Today, let's talk about overcoming and walking with overcoming peace. We know the incident in the Bible when Jesus was sleeping in the boat. The disciples were perturbed by a storm that was rising around them and yet, Jesus was calm and asleep. Even when He woke up, the only thing He could think about was taking authority and calming the storm. Not worrying or talking about the storm, instead commanding the storm because of the sense of faith and assurance that He had within. What a great lesson for us. John chapter 16, verse 33, Jesus says, "These things I have spoken to you that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." This is what Jesus taught us, to overcome the world, to overcome the difficulties in the world, to overcome the struggles that you and I go through. Sometimes things that go out of control, unexpected challenges that come our way, and we just don't know how to respond to them. Jesus did not say that there will be no difficulties, but instead, He's pointing to the fact that there will be tribulation in the world. But, here's the other thought, we can be encouraged, we can walk encouraged, we can be of good cheer. He overcame, and so you and I can overcome and for that we must come from a place of peace. Peace is released through our hearts when we are trusting in God. No storm will overwhelm us. We will have the wisdom, we will have the courage, we will have the faith to steer our way out of that storm, if we know how to walk in the peace that Jesus gives us. Jesus said that the peace that He gives us is not the way the world gives us. This peace is the perfect peace that comes from our great God who's revealed Himself as Jehovah Shalom. No matter what you and I are going through, let's know that our peace overcomes the world. May we walk with courage and faith. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that we are overcomers, we are more than conquerors in whatever it is that we are going through and through your peace, we come forth victorious and this is our declaration, Lord. We bless you and we worship you, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
