Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you once again for giving us this opportunity to come together and spend a few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are talking about praise. Today, we will talk about garment of praise. Isaiah chapter 61, verses 10 and 11, ‘I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its bud, As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.’ A garment is a piece of clothing that you put to cover yourself. So, the garment of praise is a spiritual garment that we put over ourselves to cover ourselves. In other words, the garment of praise is the garment that we put inside of us instead of the outside. Much of Isaiah’ prophecies predict the destruction of God’s people because of their sins but in the final section, beginning with chapter 18, Isaiah calls on people to wake up to their God given glory so that they can display God’s splendor to others. The Spirit tells Isaiah to put the oil of joy on God’s people and to give them a garment of praise. In the New Testament, Jesus reads from Isaiah chapter 61, as He preaches for the first time in His hometown Nazareth, then He says, today, this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. The New Testament also states that by faith in Jesus, we are clothed in Christ. There is a garment that has been handcrafted for you and it fits you perfectly. Jesus was anointed for this job and He took it up as a delight. He has created a new garment of praise for you and I, and He wants us to put it on. Praise is not just a state of our heart, but praise is also an action. Most often, it involves our mouth, our hands, and our body. So, in order to put your praise on, it requires intentional effort in speaking out the thanksgiving and worship for who Jesus is. This might feel awkward at first but make an effort to speak out loud and tell Jesus how much you love Him. Put on this garment that Jesus made for you. Do not admire it from afar, actually try it out. Those today who know the joy of the Lord and wear a garment of praise are always seeking ways in which they could honor God. They are busy serving, loving and praising the Lord for all that He is doing in their lives. They want every moment on earth to count for eternity because they have discovered the joy of working hand in hand with the Lord Jesus. When we stand before God, He will clothe us with white robes, a garment without spot or blemish. He made the first garments and He will make the last. What a privilege we have been given! Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, that you give us the oil of joy and you cover us with a garment of praise. Let this be true in our lives that in everything that we are doing, every area of our lives, whether we are in the workplace, in our families, with our children, Lord, help us to put on this garment of praise, every day of our lives, to glorify your name, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
