Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Elijah (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Paul Emmanuel

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to come together, to pray and spend a few moments in God’s word. This week, we are talking about a few bible characters. Today, we talk about Elijah. The prophet Elijah was used by God powerfully. The prophet Elijah had one time in his ministry, he was running for his life, he had been faithful to God, warning King Ahab and Queen Jezebel that they needed to obey God and stop misleading the people of Israel. The prophet Elijah on Mount Carmel stands as God’s representative before people who worship other gods and the people of Israel who can’t seem to choose which God to serve. Before any decision is made, a contest is played out between Elijah and the prophets of Baal as to who can bring down fire from heaven on the sacrifice. In response, the Lord sends fire so intense that it burns up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, the soil and the soil evaporates the water in the trench. In this battle, it is clear who won. The people no longer waver, they cry out and acknowledge the Lord as God. But Ahab and Jezebel would not listen, not even after God showed His power through Elijah. Instead, Jezebel threatened to hunt down Elijah and kill him. The contest on Mount Carmel was won but the work was not yet finished. Elijah declared that the true God of heaven and earth, will follow up His victory by sending rain to break the dryness and famine on the land. Elijah’s servant doesn’t see any change in the sky but God is working about bringing change. Waiting and watching is often a posture as a servant of God. Elijah went back to pray, seven times he did the same, and only on the seventh time was a cloud, the size of a nans fist. The servant of Elijah probably never forgot the times of disappointment as well the excitement on seeing that small cloud and the great rain that followed. People of faith are not promised an easy life but they are promised that God will be with them, God will journey along with them. Just a few thoughts as we close, God provides in unimaginable ways. God’s power moves us to bless others. Thirdly, God will show up, making the impossible a possibility in each of our lives. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you, that you are an all-powerful God, a God who is able to do great miracles in each of our lives. I pray that you will help us to walk in this anointing, walk in power and authority, empowered by the Holy Spirt. Lord, we pray that we will always acknowledge and understand your ways and know that waiting time is never a wasted time, that we will continue to pursue and seek you for our lives, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
