Greetings and thank you so much for the opportunity to come to you, and spend this time with you in the word and in prayer. This week, we’ve been talking about dreams and how we can go about interpreting dreams and we’ve been adding a piece of instruction in each episode. We’ve talked about recalling, writing the dream down, identifying what is literal and figurative and then praying and asking God for the meaning and the timing of the dream. The next important step is to write down the meaning and the timing that you sense, as you are praying over the dream. So usually in my dream journal which I have been maintaining over several years now, when I have had a dream, I type it in my computer, I type out the literal dream, the facts and whatever I saw and felt and then you pray and ask God, what is the meaning, I want to get an understanding of this, what is the meaning and timing of it? Once that dawns on me, sometimes it can come right away, sometimes it might come after a day or two, maybe you are reading the scriptures and so on and I have had it happen in many different ways. Sometimes, the meaning of the dream comes right away, sometimes it may take even a few days for you to understand it or sometimes it maybe while you are going about your activity and you are having a conversation with somebody and suddenly it just dawns on you that this is what God is speaking. So, whenever you receive the meaning of that dream, you go back to your journal and in that same place below where you have recorded your dream, you also record the meaning of the dream and that gets us back to Daniel chapter 7, verse 1, where we saw that, ‘Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts.’ So, he recorded the facts and we also understand when we read Daniel chapter 7, 8 and 9 that when God sent an angel, in many cases God sent an angel to Daniel to help him understand the dream, he recorded everything the angel stated. So, he also recorded the meaning of the dream. The angel would come and interpret and say Daniel this figure means this; this represents this and so Daniel recorded the meaning of the dream as well. That is the next thing we must do. As you pray about it and get an understanding of it, you begin to write it down. Sometimes, even the meaning of the dream can come in stages, doesn’t mean you understand everything about it but whatever you begin to understand you write it down, say this is what I feel God is saying, this is what I feel God wants me to do, the action that he wants me to take, this is how I’m going to apply the dream. Sometimes it is a warning dream so you pray and avert the danger that God has warned me about that might happen to me or whoever you see in the dream. Pray about that and begin to intercede for that. So, you write it down whatever action God wants you to take, write that down and make a note of it. If you need to share that dream, if that dream involves somebody else, you also need task God what do you want to do with that dream? Just because you had a dream doesn’t mean you need to go and tell somebody else that you had. Sometimes God may not want you to speak at all, He may want you to pray about it and not reveal it to anybody else. You ask the lord, Lord, am I supposed to go and speak to that person because I saw that person in this dream or do I keep quiet and pray about it and pray for them concerning what I have seen? If God tells you to go and speak, then you do, otherwise, just keep it for yourself and pray over that dream. We will continue this tomorrow. Father, we thank you for the instructions, thank you for the guidance and we pray that you will speak to us more and more through dreams and visions in the night, teach us, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
