Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome back to Living Supernaturally, the daily devotion time, where we spend time looking into God's word so that we can learn and apply it daily in our lives. Today, we are looking at 1 Timothy chapter 6, verses 17-19. 1 Timothy chapter 6, ‘command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.’ So, Paul is starting by saying, command those who are rich in this present age not to be proud. We know that God is not against riches, God is not against wealth, in fact, the word of God says that it is He who gives us the ability to get wealth. It is He who teaches us to profit. So, He's not against wealth, He's not against riches, in fact, He takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. But He's saying, command those who are rich, who have wealth and riches not to be proud or not to be arrogant or haughty and not to trust in uncertain riches. Riches have a quality, a characteristic about them. Riches could be here today and not there tomorrow. So, he's saying, do not put your trust in uncertain riches but rather trust in the living God. He's saying, don't put your trust in riches; riches come from Him but trust in the living God who richly gives us all things to enjoy. God is not withholding, God's intention in His heart is actually to bless us and His blessing leads to prosperity. So, He's the one who gives us richly all things and He's saying He gives all things richly so that we might actually enjoy it in our daily lives. He's saying, He's the one who richly gives us all things to enjoy. So, there a fine line, as God blesses us with riches, as God gives these things, allows these things to come into our lives, be thankful, have a heart of gratitude and don't put your trust in them because it's so easy to take our eyes off God and to put our eyes on the very things that God is giving to us for us to enjoy and to put our eyes on that and to be actually captured and to put our trust in those very things. So, Paul is warning, don't put your trust. He's saying those who are rich and wealthy, let them do good, be rich in good works, be ready to give, be generous and be willing to share. Now, these words are for us today, these instructions are for us today so that we can live the life that God wants us to live. Shall we pray? Father for these instructions, we thank you that you are not against wealth and riches, in fact, you are the one who blesses us so that we might prosper in all things. We thank you for blessing us and wanting to bless us Lord but Lord enable us to put our trust in you and not in uncertain riches. We thank you Lord for this day, thank you for this time, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s matchless name we pray, Amen.
