Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome everyone, thank you for joining us once again. We will look at another ingredient for success today and that is to depend on God. I have a beautiful example from God's word for us. This is a man who’s not talked about too much, in fact very little about him is recorded in the Old Testament, but he is in the Hall of Faith, Hebrews chapter 11 and this is none other than Abel. Hebrews chapter 11 and verse four says, ‘by faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.’ Isn't that amazing that somebody who is dead and gone, the offering of that individual, the work of that individual, still speaks or in other words it is established or the work that he did is fruitful, and it is long lasting, how did Abel do this? How did Abel make it to Hebrews chapter 11 where you have names of other wonderful people of faith, like Abraham and Jacob and all those people that the Bible talks a lot about. Well, the deciding factor is really faith. We see that Abel employed faith in what he did and that made the difference, the offering which he brought to God, it wasn't that it was meat and God accepted it and Cain's offering was vegetable and God did not accept it, but the reason behind the offering being faith, Abel's dependence on God. For us to be successful in life, this is something we can learn and keep growing in, to depend on God every step of the way and do things by faith. When we do things by faith, God is the one who blesses it, God is the one who establishes it, God is the one who causes it to live longer than we do. So, in a sense, we're able to leave behind the legacy because our every activity, our every ministry is based on our faith in God, it's based on our dependence on God. When we depend on God, we will see the blessing of God in our lives, we will see the favor of God in our lives. So, let's depend on God and that will lead us to accomplish great things for His kingdom. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you Lord for being with us. We know that you've empowered us by your Spirit and God in Christ Jesus, you've already blessed us with all that we need to succeed in life. So, Father, we pray that each one of us will be able to step into those things and that we will be able to work out of that. Thank you, Lord, thank you for leading us in that path, thank you for glorifying your name, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
