Welcome everyone, we are talking about creativity. Today, we want to look at how God enables us with His wisdom and understanding. The scripture in Job chapter 32, verse 8 says, ‘But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.’ God has created us in His own image. In the book of Exodus, we see that God gave people artistic ability. In this scripture, we notice that God is the one who gives us understanding. He gives us the knowledge and the ability to think how to apply that knowledge, to discover new things, to create something new, to excel in what we have previously done. So, all of that ability comes from God and God is the one who has put that inside of us. I will read this scripture again for us, it says, ‘But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.’ God has given us understanding. We can be learners, we can learn about so many different principles in the world, we can learn about the way things work, we can learn about anything that we desire and God has given us that capability. I want to look at a very interesting passage from Isaiah chapter 28, verses 26-29, where the farmer is instructed with the right judgement regarding his work. The reason why I want to share this passage is because this helps us understand that if God could instruct the farmer how to do his farming and today, we could be doctors, God can instruct us in the medical field. We could be engineers; God could instruct us in our area of expertise, we could be artists, God could instruct us. God can instruct us in any field that we engage in. So, Isaiah chapter 28, verse 26 onwards, ‘For He instructs him in right judgment, His God teaches him. For the black cummin is not threshed with a threshing sledge, nor is a cartwheel rolled over the cummin; But the black cummin is beaten out with a stick, And the cummin with a rod. Bread flour must be ground; Therefore, he does not thresh it forever, break it with his cartwheel, or crush it with his horsemen. This also comes from the LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.’ You see how the farmer is instructed about how to harvest the cummin and how to really go about using it. In the same way, we today, can harness all that is in nature, all that is around us and God can instruct us. We might be good at painting, drawing, sculpting, baking, music, writing, decorating, so many different capabilities but God can instruct us in each one of these areas and I just want to encourage us to aim to excel. If you are skillful in what you do, the word of God says you will stand before kings. So, harness with the help of God all that is around you. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, thank you for the beauty of your word. You are a God who instructs step by step. I pray that each of us will progress and make great achievements because you are with us, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
