Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally, where we take a few moments to mediate on God’s word and pray together. This week, we will be talking about being chosen in the kingdom of God. Ephesians chapter 1, verses 3-4, ‘Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.’ The apostle Paul makes a remarkable statement to the believers in Ephesus. He says that God created us before the foundations of the world. God chose us, even before the universe was create, in other words, this determination took place well in advance before God created the world. Notice how far Paul goes to assert this new blessed position that you and I have as believers. He goes on to say that we receive it because it is God’s blessing over our lives. He chose us that the basis of our blessing is God Himself. What’s more is God’s choosing is also God’s calling. Every time God chooses us, He also calls us to fulfil His plans and purposes in our lives. Out of His grace and His mercy, God has chosen us to be a channel of His blessing to the world around us. So, today, we can take comfort in knowing that God’s great love and mercy is always with us and that we can glorify God in all that we do. Let’s pray, Father, we want to thank you for this beautiful day that you have blessed us with. We thank you for your grace and your mercies over each of our lives. We thank you that you have called us, and you have blessed us to be a blessing to the people around us. Lord, we pray that you will help us to be channels of your blessing and glorify your name in all that we do, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
