Greetings and thank you once again for the opportunity to be with you today, spend these few moments in God’s word and in prayer. This week, we are re-digging some ancient wells just to reignite that passion for souls and the call to personal evangelism. I want to bring our attention again to the words of our apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians chapter 9, verses 19 to 22, for us to get a little understanding of his mindset/ heart towards bringing the message of Jesus to people. He writes this, ‘For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.’ Look at the posture of the apostle Paul. He says, look, I don’t care what I need to do. I have become all things to all people. I step into people’s worlds, I try to become like them, connect to them, relate to them and adapt myself to whoever I am relating to. He says, I make myself a servant to all, I’m just submitting to every person for one reason that I might win more people to Jesus Christ. He says, I’ve become all things to all men that I might by all means save some, that is his posture. He says, I want to do everything I can, be there, touch lives to win people for Jesus. What a passion, posture and way to live life! May you and I embrace that same calling, posture and passion to bring people to faith in Christ that by all means you will at least save some people bringing them into the kingdom of God and we will win more people to the kingdom of God just like the apostle Paul. Let’ pray, Father, we pray that we will embrace this holy calling and that you will ignite us with the same kind of passion that the apostle Paul had that by all means he would win and save people bringing them to faith in Jesus. Help us to do that, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
