Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Build Faith (Daily Devotional)

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Really happy to talk about different things that we can apply in our lives especially during the exam season. Today, I want to continue encouraging us and I want us to focus our thoughts on what God has to say about us. We know that God has good plans for us, He has plans to prosper us not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future. We will hold on to God’s goodness, we will hold on to the blessings that God has for us especially the ones that God has promised through the cross and they are released into our lives by faith. In the exam season, it is very important for us to keep our faith strong in God. How do we do this? We understand from the word of God that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. For us to generate faith we need the resource of God’s word. As we take time to read the word of God and not just read it, but meditate on it. Meditation is a process where we mull upon the word of God, we think through what has been spoken to us, we try and get everything that a particular scripture or a passage has to offer. Today, I just want to give us an example, Isaiah chapter 41, and verse 10, it says, ‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Here is a scripture where God is promising His strength and help to us. We can choose to mediate on what God is saying or it is normal for us to have certain thoughts that may tell us that we are not going to do well, we are not going to achieve the goals that we have set for ourselves, some negative thoughts such as these can come and occupy our minds. Instead of these negative thoughts, it is good for us to dwell on the word of God and just think through what God is saying. As we meditate on this very verse, strength will come into our inner man. So, what can we gain from here? We can gain that God is asking us to stay bold, ‘fear not’ is what God is saying. He is also saying, ‘I am with you’ so God is promising His presence with us, God is with us and He is saying ‘be not dismayed or don’t be distressed for I am your God.’ God is saying ‘you are mine, I take responsibility of you because you are my child.’ So, God is saying, ‘I am your God.’ He continues to encourage us by saying ‘I will strengthen you’, so God is promising strength, we may feel weak but here is God saying ‘I will strengthen you.’ God is also saying, ‘I will help you.’ God is for us and that is what we are gaining form this. God is saying ‘I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’ In other words, He is giving us the victory. You see, just meditating on one particular scripture has given us so much strength. There are many other, Philippians chapter 4, verse 13 which says ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’ and several others. Take time and meditate in the word of God, it will strengthen each of us. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you, for your word. We thank you that your word is filled with hope and power. I pray that each of us will encounter that power and we will see you lead us in victory, we claim that victory in the name of Jesus, Amen.
