Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Be Changed (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Welcome friends, being in God's presence, experiencing Him is life changing. Today, we're going to look at just that, being changed in God's presence. Here is a passage of scripture that I would like to read for us, this is from second Corinthians chapter three and verse 18 it says, ‘but we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.’ This passage says that as we behold God or as we see God, we are being changed or we are being transformed and we are moving closer and being conformed into the image of Christ, into the same image from glory to glory. What happens to us when we spend time with God, when we enter His presence, when we take time to behold the Lord where He is? We are transformed. Nobody can enter God's presence and go away without being changed and this is the wonder of God's presence because of who He is and His nature, though we are sinful and as believers, yes, we are washed by the blood of Jesus, we have been justified yet God is working in our lives, and He is sanctifying us. As we enter God's presence, this work of sanctification that God is doing, goes a notch higher. God is able to work deep within our hearts. When we enter God's presence, there are things that we want changed in us, sin to be dealt with, attitudes in us which are not pleasing in God's sight, whatever it is in God's presence, all of this can be changed. We can become more and more like Jesus; we are transformed in God's presence. In other words, the very nature of God, who He is, what He does, that rubs off on us, we become more like the person that we behold and in God's presence, we are beholding the nature of God and we become more and more like God. I like what happened in the life of David, in one of the psalms, he is wanting to experience God's presence, wanting to experience a new perspective and David gets that when he enters the sanctuary. This is what Psalm chapter 63 has to say from verses 2-5, ‘So I have looked for you in the sanctuary, to see your power and your glory. Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. Thus, I will bless you while I live; I will lift up my hands in your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with the marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips.’ David has understood, for him to experience who God is and rejoice in God, all he needed to do was to enter the sanctuary of God and he says, to see your power and your glory and today for us to see God's power and His glory, let's just enter His heavenly sanctuary. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you, that in your presence, we are transformed. We thank you for the fire of your presence, we pray that that fire will burn up all chaff and conform us more into the presence, into the nature of Jesus. We give you thanks, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
