Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings! and thank you for another day to be able to spend a few moments with you and encourage you from the word of God and prayer. This week, I'm just sharing stories from my life, from the very early days, and I hope these stories will encourage you. Here I was a 13-year-old and now in the early part of 1982, I had just received Jesus into my life, October 1981, the early part of 1982, the same teacher who prayed with me, he said that he was going to take some of our students and pray for us so that we could be baptized in the Holy Spirit. We were all very young students; I had just turned 13 and the others were my age and maybe a little older than me. I had never heard about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I didn't know much about the Holy Spirit, but I wanted what the bible said. The scripture that I was reading that in those days was Matthew chapter 3, verse 11, John the Baptist said ‘I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I'm not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.’ And then of course we read a little bit on what happened in the book of Acts, that when they were baptized, they spoke with tongues. So, we were all expecting to pray in tongues. Here we were a group of young boys, we were in an assembly of God church, I had never been into an A. G church before, I was growing up in a traditional Methodist church. So, for me this was a culture shock, 13-year-old boy and never saw drums in church and never heard people singing so loudly, clapping hands, and making so much noise. So, I was scared, and they were praying for the boys to receive the Holy Spirit and they were saying pray in tongues and say like this, and I was scared, I couldn't, I wanted to leave but I wanted this Holy Spirit, but I was scared with all that was happening and all the noise, i had never experienced it before. I really don't know what happened in that meeting, I was happy the meeting was over, and I went home. But I was determined, in one way I was sad because I didn't know if anything happened in the meeting, but at the same time I was determined to have what the Bible said. I began to read the word of God and I remember just in my own room, as a 13 year old, I just prayed Lord, I want to pray in tongues, I want to have what is in the bible and right there, in my own room, as a 13 year old boy, I began to pray with other togues. Nobody taught me how to pray or told me to do this, but the language just came and from that day, till today I've just been praying as much as I can almost every day, barely a day goes where I don't, maybe I would have missed some days, but every day just praying in tongues, and this has been such a wonderful journey. I want to encourage you to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, pray and ask the Lord Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Of course, the Holy Spirit brings all His gifts with Him and one of the wonderful gifts He releases is the ability to talk to God in heavenly languages. I cannot impress upon you enough, how important it is to pray in tongues, to build up your spiritual man, to become strong in the Spirit. So, pray in tongues as much as you can. It's been a great blessing in my life from that day, in the early part of 1982 until today. Let's pray, Father, we ask that every person who's listening would seek you and Lord Jesus, baptize each one with your Holy Spirit, so that the gifts of the Spirit will overflow in their lives and especially Lord, that they will pray with other tongues, even as your word teaches us, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
