Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

A Good Name (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Paul Emmanuel

Hi everyone, welcome once again to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for this opportunity to spend time in God’s word. This week, we are talking about integrity. Another way of using the word integrity is a good name. Proverbs chapter 22, verse 1, ‘A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.’ When King Solomon talked about a good name, he was referring to one’s reputation. Solomon made a comparison between good name and great wealth. If only we can have one of these two, I think the most important would be a good name. Why did Solomon make this comparison? It was not just because both have value, they are both obtained, maintained and retained in the same way. In a business world, where large profit margins seem to be the only objective, a commitment to having a good name is most commendable. In a world where numerous temptations to cut corners or deliver less than promised, it is vitally important that followers of Christ conduct their business with integrity. The temptation to seek gold or silver, the profits as our top priority is the same today as it was during Solomon’s day. Great profits may come by way of dishonest ways and falsifying records but when caught, everything is ruined. Too often, our testimony is negated by the way we do business. Our good intentions and promises must be followed up with actions of integrity in all that we do. Christ’s name is at stake, not merely our reputation. Wealth is not the culprit but how we obtain it matters. If we acquire riches at the expense of destroying our reputation, then it is a price that is too high to pay. Riches are worthless if pursuing them ruin our character. Having a good name and honorable reputation is a result of developing inner character and upright living. A good reputation comes from obeying God’s word, pleasing God and always striving to keep a good, clear conscience before God and people. Just a few pointers for living with a good name- work for it, do good work, do not forfeit your reputation, be consistent till the end. Jesus calls us to honesty. When we are honest with our lives, we can lift up our hands and sing, ‘Lord, I lift your name on high and mean it’. Are we honoring God in our life? Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for your word and for teaching us today that more than riches and the things of this world, a good name is much more valuable and we pray that even as we are your children, we will walk with integrity and a good name, people will look at us and glorify the Father in heaven. Enable us, empower us to walk this way, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
