Hello kids - you are VIP kids, Very Important People to Jesus! Today we learn about the last two Beatitude -

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven and

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Persecution simply means to be hurt or attacked. Persecution is never pleasant, it involves suffering and often severe pain. So how can being persecuted be “blessed”? Jesus considers it blessed when we are persecuted "for righteousness sake."

Some people suffer for doing evil, but that is punishment, not persecution. But Jesus offers a great reward to those who are persecuted for tirelessly pursuing the kingdom of righteousness and because of their uncompromising faithfulness to God no matter what the circumstance may be like.
