Hello kids - you are VIP kids, Very Important People to Jesus! Today we learn about the seventh Beatitude - Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God. A peacemaker is someone who works to make things right, to make peace for others. Anyone can start a fight, but it takes real courage to make peace. People might not be as entertained by you if you avoid fights when you can, but God had called us to be peacemakers. Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God.” We are all God’s children, but to be called “the children of God” means that you are trying to be like Jesus Christ who is the “Prince of Peace.” Every time we are loving or kind or forgiving or helpful, we are doing the things that make us more like Jesus.
