Wisdom Walk: Part 1

In Part 1 of the Wisdom Walk series, we will understand the importance and characteristics of walking wisely. In this two-part series, we would like to highlight and summarize key lessons from the book of Proverbs. Wisdom in the main thing. Wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge (A)to solve problems, (B)to determine right course of action in a situation, (C)to foresee situations, outcomes, or events (different from being prophetic) and choose what is best to do now. When we are able to make decisions and order our lives with insight, understanding and prudence, then we are walking wisely. Proverbs teaches us that wisdom is obtained from God, the Source of Wisdom. We also receive wisdom through others and through training, learning and life experiences. We must maintain our "Wisdom Walk" in all seasons of life. For our learning purposes, if we were to try and summarize what Proverbs teaches us, to help us in our WISDOM WALK, we could probably distill it in these FIVE SUMMARY STATEMENTS: #1, ALWAYS AND IN ALL THINGS HONOR THE LORD #2, ALWAYS BE LISTENING, ALWAYS BE LEARNING #3, DONT TAKE WHAT IS NOT YOURS #4, DONT KEEP WHAT YOU SHOULD BE GIVING AWAY #5, ALWAYS AND IN ALL THINGS WALK IN HUMILITY
