The Lord Jesus promised that believers would be baptised with the Holy Spirit and endued with power from above. This power enables us to be witnesses for Jesus Christ. The power of the Holy Spirit is expressed through the manifestations of the Spirit, also referred to as the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Spirit are really manifestations of the Spirit, that is God revealing Himself through the display of His power. Every believer is to be a channel of the power of God.
